3/8″ x 26TPI Solid Axle Nut Set

This set contains two 3/8″ x 26TPI solid axle nuts, and up to two keys.

If your front and rear hubs are differently sized, or if you only need one nut, please build a custom solid axle set instead.

Set #SH38 is intended for Shimano Alfine and Nexus rear hubs, or other solid axle hubs that use a 3/8″ x 26TPI threaded axle (an outside axle diameter of 3/8″, and a thread pitch of 26TPI.)

Pitlock’s solid axle sets were originally designed to protect people’s Rohloff planetary gear hubs. However, since this revolutionary product launched, Pitlock has added 3/8″x 26TPI and 9MM x 1MM solid axles nuts as well.

Pitlock’s solid axle nuts use the same technology as their quick release counterparts, but they are considerably larger. Because of the size difference, if you decide to use these nuts in conjunction with a Pitlock seatpost or ahead bolt, you will need to use two different keys.

These bolts are a full 1-3/16″ (30.16MM) in diameter at the base. Please be sure to measure the area around your dropouts to confirm that you have room for these.
