This set comes complete with all the necessary components for installation: two 5mm wheel skewers and locking mechanisms, one seatpost skewer and locking mechanism, and up to two keys. Available colors are silver and black.

Description
Pitlock’s “Set 02” comes with two wheel skewer, one seatpost skewer, and up to two keys. Customers sometimes request skewers to match the Pitlock setup on another bike they already own, and don’t need any additional keys – we make it easy to customize everything to meet your exact needs.
All Pitlock skewers are cold-forged and CNC machined from high-grade stainless steel.
Worried about losing your Pitlock keys, or needing to change a tire on the road? Purchase a keychain tool and never be without your Pitkey again.
Additional notes:
- The 240mm “joker” skewers are fully threaded, and will need to be cut to length. Cutting skewers is a fairly common need, and only requires a hacksaw or Dremel tool.
- Each skewer is actually 10MM longer than the length shown. This is to account for the locking mechanism, which requires 10MM of space.

I’m still getting used to them. I did manage to mangle one set of lock & Teflon washers plus the housing. But it was user error, and the parts are cheap so I ordered backups.

To be honest I really love this product. I got some on my bike when I was rebuilding it. The only thing I would say is that they are kind of a pain to put on. I have the keychain tool and I will give my review of it below. The key is really small and I am always not sure if I am tightening the locks too much or too little since I know there is a sweet spot. This makes doing any sort of “quick disconnect” action not being very quick…at least to me. Maybe I just need more time with it. Would totally by again for my next build!!!

Fit and performed as expected for the most part. The special key has a little trouble engaging the recessed nut sometimes. And no rod was included to turn the key. It was easy to turn the key with a correct sized socket, or a small screwdriver. But a small rod would have been nice.
An exploded view showing the sequence of parts would have been nice.

Quality product but a bit pricey. Seems much better than other lower priced lockable skewers on the market though. Had shipping issues, but fault was with USPS. Would recommend you show link/page for the available/optional skewer caps when ordering.

I glad I have a discreet 2nd level of protection for my bike. The only thing I would change would be to slightly increase the depth of the socket key by an 1/4” or so.

You get what pay for, and these components are all of extremely high quality part. Standard sizes fit my (standard) bike perfectly. My one gripe is that, for being as expensive as they are, the skewer kits should all include end caps.

The instruction video had a lot of German in it. It was visual and the installation is intuitive enough that it wasn’t hard to figure out, but if you’re looking for places to improve and English video would be nice.
